What is lon kruger?

Lon Kruger is a retired American basketball player and current college basketball coach. He was born on August 19, 1952 in Silver Lake, Kansas. Kruger played college basketball at Kansas State University and was selected as an All-Big Eight player in 1973 and 1974.

After his playing career, Kruger went on to have a successful coaching career at the collegiate and professional levels. He has served as the head coach for several college basketball programs, including Texas-Pan American, Kansas State, Florida, Illinois, UNLV, and Oklahoma.

Throughout his coaching career, Kruger has been named conference Coach of the Year multiple times and has led his teams to numerous NCAA Tournament appearances. He is known for his leadership, strategic coaching style, and emphasis on player development.

Kruger announced his retirement from coaching in 2021, concluding a successful career that spanned over four decades.
